Delays after collision in Ince Blundell

Following a collision involving a Ford Focus, Ford C-Max and a Nissan Micra; delays are expected in Ince Blundell.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed they were called at 2.50pm today after a collision involving a Ford Focus, Ford C-Max and a Nissan Micra.

Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment in order to remove the roof of one of the Nissan Micra to free a female from the car. She has been assessed by paramedics and will be taken to Aintree University Hospital. A man has been taken to Aintree University Hospital for further checks. Traffic queues stretch as far back as Formby due to the road closures and motorists are asked to find alternative routes where possible.
