Where can you recycle your Christmas Trees?

Christmas Day is over and we are already being asked where to take your trees to ensure they are recycled.

Here is all the information you need.

Take a look at the list of places available to recycle your tree below:

1 - Formby Real Tree Collection service - Open from Boxing Day to end of January. They will pick up your real tree and take it to National Trust to recycle for a small charge of £5 - Ring to book on Tel: 07715 807 951 - Please call to book your collection ASAP - They will pick up in Formby, Hightown and Ainsdale.

(They will also collect in Crosby and Birkdale for £6).

2 - National Trust, Victoria Road in Formby will be open from January 4th to January 22nd for a drop off service on behalf of The National Trust. Take your tree along yourself and leave it in the designated tree collection cage.

3 - Formby Household Waste Recycling Centre on Altcar Road, Formby, L37 8DL. Please note that the Formby Tip is closed on Boxing Day and closed on New Years Day.

NB: Please DO NOT take your trees to Lifeboat Road in Formby this year, they are not accepting trees this year.
