The Formby Tapestry at Formby Library
The next talk at Formby library is “The Formby Tapestry” it is a fabulous piece of needlework created by Lillian Rushton between 1975 -1982.
It depicts Formby’s history, from the Vikings to the 20th Century. Many of the scenes are now much changed or long gone.
John Phillips, Chairman of Formby Civic Society, will be explaining about the history of each scene. It will be a fascinating insight into Formby’s past.
The talk is on Wednesday 9th November 2pm at Formby Library.
