Hourly rate is £10.84 per hour

What it's like to work here
The NT site at Formby makes up one-and-a-half miles of the Sefton coast with sandy beaches, pine woodlands and former asparagus fields. There is a glorious beach with dramatic sand dunes, surrounded by sweeping coastal pinewoods. But Formby can also offer rare wildlife, and prehistoric footprints as well as the miles of coast that are part of Formby's amazing and ever changing landscape.
What you'll be doing
As the Community Engagement Officer, you’ll seek out new ways of reaching our wider local community, encouraging engagement.
You will be responsible for involving Formby’s visitors, communities, partners and stakeholders in developing our thinking about how we will adapt to coastal change. You will work with relevant members of the Formby team to develop and deliver community involvement.
You will work an average of three days per week, but will need to work flexibly to meet the demands of the post. Some weekend and evening work will be required.

Proven experience of running and organising events and meetings
Experience of working in a learning, interpretation, heritage or audience / community development environment
Experience in developing and fostering relationships with community groups, including those with special needs
Genuine enthusiasm for working with people of all ages and backgrounds
Proficient IT skills across a range of applications
Excellent communication skills
A positive, can do attitude
