Firefighters help horse stranded in ditch in Formby

Firefighters were called out to help a horse stranded in a ditch in Formby just before 2.45pm yesterday (Tuesday, September 6). One fire engine attended the incident on North Moss Lane, together with the search and Rescue Team. Crews grabbed the reins of the female horse and encouraged her out of the ditch to safety. She was unharmed and left in the care of her owners. Firefighters remained at the scene for around 15 minutes.
