SILENT AUCTION
This year we are also supporting Charlie’s Last Chance.
Charlie Fearns, 10, has been diagnosed with leukaemia for the third time and, following a bone marrow transplant in 2013, the only option left is an experimental form of treatment not available to him in the UK. The youngster, was first diagnosed in 2009 and, despite getting the all clear in May 2012, sadly relapsed just months later. Following a four-month search for a bone marrow transplant, blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan found a match on their register and, after a successful transplant, Charlie was again given the all clear. However, recently his family were given the devastating news that Charlie’s leukaemia had returned for a third time and now there is no option of chemotherapy or another bone marrow transplant. His only chance of survival is a pioneering new treatment, named CART-cell therapy, which uses a patient’s own immune system to combat the disease. As it is not available in the UK, Charlie’s family and friends need to raise enough money to pay for the treatment to go ahead in Seattle, USA. It is estimated to cost approximately £140,000.00
Our 2 celebrity chefs were so touched by this cause that they are offering a dinner party for 8 in your own home and tailored to you and your guests. To win this fantastic prize call into the chef demo area and leave your bid although it does have a reserve on it. What would you give to have 2 celebrity chefs cooking for your guests, how cool would that be?
