Deansgate Lane football pitch is unplayable this weekend

Sefton Council has announced a number of local football pitches are unplayable this weekend (February 20/21) following pitch inspections.

Teams that are scheduled to use the pitches will be informed and it is also advised that the pitches should not be used for training or friendlies instead.

Full list of pitches that have failed inspection:

Deansgate Lane pitch 2
Meols Park pitch 6
Sandbrook Road pitch 1
Buckley Hill pitches 1, & 16

If you are unsure about the status of your fixture or pitch, please contact the managing agent or the leisure centre concerned.

Any further cancellations will be down to the referee’s decision on the day.
