Has Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp found his new local pub as he settles into life in Merseyside?
Michael Simonsen, 12, was thrilled to meet Jurgen Klopp in The Freshfield pub, Formby
The Reds boss was spotted enjoying a pint in The Freshfield on Massams Lane, Formby, which was recently named as one of the top four pubs in the country by Camra.
Klopp posed for a photo with young fan Michael Simonsen, the son of Liverpool radio presenter Claire Simmo.
Claire, who was at the pub celebrating a family birthday, said: “Michael was made up to see him. He’s a massive Liverpool fan. “I’m a Blue myself, but Mr. Klopp was lovely. He made time for us and seemed genuinely interested. “He seems to have settled in well, and like he’s ‘at home’ here.”
The Freshfield is known for its wide selection of ales, and has won nine awards since 2012.
