Lack of disabled parking in new library refurbishment

Formby Library is a fantastic local assett and we are very lucky to have kept this facility. The Library refurbishment is now complete and it does look amazing however, we have had numerous complaints about the parking facilities.
It is such a shame that so much money was spent on the refurbishment which seems to have overlooked the parking and in particular, the disabled parking entirely but, according to the Sefton Council website, it says;
"There are parking spaces for people with disabilities at the front of the library; also a community car park alongside the library."
Jeanette Smith spoke to Formby Bubble regarding her experience with parking at the new modernised library,
"I just wanted to let people know that parking at Formby Library can be a problem. I went the other day and could not park, I ended up parking on the main road. The powers that be have removed parking spaces from the frontage of the library and replaced them with pretty paving."
Jeanette went on to say, "The white parking Iines in the remaining car park are faint and drivers park over the lines not using the spaces efficiently. There were few people in the library so I guess not all cars parked there were library users."

Another Formby resident spoke to the Bubble and said,
"where have the disabled parking spaces gone? There are only two spaces now and they are not close to the entrance which now has a flagged area and is of no use to anyone!"
