We are so sorry to announce the passing of Therese Cowan after a short illness.

Therese's daughter Caroline said: "My lovely mum sadly passed away recently after a short illness.  We are, of course, devastated to say the least."

"My mum was my best friend and we became even closer after losing my dad a couple of years ago, helped along by living around the corner from each other."

"Mum was loved by everyone she met. She was warm, chatty and had a huge heart. She loved her family who she would do anything for and her main passion was probably foreign travel."

"We were lucky to be able to take her to Spain with us the last two summers to see family and she loved this as she absolutely doted on her two grandsons and loved nothing more than watching them grow and learn."

"Hopefully she will be looking down on us and with us in spirit on all our future travels. We will miss her dearly."

The funeral of Therese will be held this Friday 19th April at Our Lady's RC Church in Lydiate at 10am.

Therese lived in Maghull but all her family and friends were in Formby.
