Vaccination centre is open this weekend in Formby for Walk-Ins to get your COVID-19 vaccine
If you haven’t had your Covid-19 vaccine yet, why not pop along to one of a number of participating walk-in clinics taking place across Sefton this weekend (17-20 June 2021)?
Here’s what you need to know:
First doses – If you’re 18 and over, you can head over to any of the clinics for your first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, with no appointment needed.
Second doses – A number of sites will also be offering walk-in second doses of the Pfizer and AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine to people age 40+, health and care workers, unpaid carers and those at greater clinical risk who had their first dose at least 8 weeks ago – please check the list below to find out which locations are offering this service. Your second dose will be the same vaccine as your first dose.
Don’t delay – Vaccines at all walk-in clinics will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Already got an appointment? People who are already booked into appointments at those venues should still attend at their allotted time slot.
Check before you go – Clinic dates and times vary, so please check when your nearest walk-in clinic is taking place before setting off.
Unable to travel to or attend a walk-in clinic this weekend? You can book an appointment at a local vaccine service online book here or call 119

Can anyone help with parking?
Dear Formby Bubble:
The COVID Vaccine Centre is now open in the village, but we are having difficulty obtaining parking facilities for the Nursing and Pharmacy staff who travel from all over Merseyside to provide this service for us. These people don’t know Formby and are not aware of parking restrictions. So far the Luncheon Club have offered us two parking places to use when available but we require other parking places. We can’t use Holly Trinity or Formby Pool car parks as they are privately controlled. If you can help out with identifying parking facilities for these hard working staff who are providing an essential service for Our Community, please contact the Vaccine Centre in the village. Many thanks.
