Tree Pruning Underway in Formby Village today

Residents may notice tree works taking place today in Formby Village, to the side of Formby Post Office on Elbow Lane, near the community notice boards.

Two large, mature trees are being professionally pruned by a private tree surgery company. The team on site has confirmed that the trees are not being removed and that the work is routine seasonal maintenance.

One large branch has been carefully taken down, which is part of the pruning process, but both trees will remain in place. The operatives advised that this is the appropriate time of year for this type of work, helping to maintain the health and safety of the trees while preserving them for the future.

Pruning of this nature is common for mature street trees and is carried out to manage growth, remove heavy or weakened limbs, and ensure public safety in busy village locations.
