⚠️ Severe Wind and Rain Expected Today with Yellow Weather Warning in Place for Formby

Good morning to everyone on Thursday 12th March. Its currently 9°C in Formby, but with strong winds blowing across the coast it feels closer to just 1°C this morning.
The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for Wind, in place from 5am until 8pm today, with very windy and wet conditions expected throughout the day.

Today’s Weather in Formby
Today will be wet and very windy with severe gales at times.
The morning will start cloudy and windy with showers, particularly through the morning and early afternoon. As the day progresses, a band of heavier rain will move in from the north during the afternoon and evening, bringing strong winds and very gusty conditions.
Tonight in Formby
Tonight will begin cloudy with periods of heavy rain and strong winds continuing through the evening.
Conditions should gradually turn drier during the early hours of the morning, with clearer skies developing overnight.
Coastal conditions in Formby
Residents should also be aware that high tide in Formby is at 5:13pm (6.37m). Because of the strong winds, the tide may appear higher and rougher than usual, with large waves and sea spray possible along the coast.
Anyone heading near the beach, seafront or dunes should take extra care as powerful waves can sweep people off their feet even from the shoreline.
