The much-loved Formby Scout Christmas Post is back — and this year marks 43 years since the Scouts first began this wonderful community tradition.
Run entirely by the 4th Formby (Holy Trinity) Scout Group, this special Christmas postal service is the Scouts’ principal fundraising activity, with a portion of the money raised donated each year to local charitable causes. It is a true example of the Formby community working together.
How the Scout Post Works:
📮 From the last Friday in November, official Scout Post Boxes and Scout Stamps are available in participating local shops, all of whom kindly volunteer to help the Scouts.
✉️ Simply attach a Scout Stamp to your card and pop it into one of the designated Scout Post Boxes.
🚫 Please note: Scout Stamps cannot be used in Royal Mail post boxes, and cards with Royal Mail stamps cannot go into the Scout system. This is a Scout-run service only, with no connection to Royal Mail.
How It Works

✔️ Write your card & attach the stamp
✔️ Post it in one of the official Scout Post Boxes
