Queen Anne to Sail Past Formby Point Ahead of Spectacular Liverpool Visit

Liverpool’s iconic waterfront will provide the perfect backdrop next week as Cunard’s newest luxury cruise ship, the Queen Anne, makes a special visit to the city.
The magnificent vessel is scheduled to arrive at the Liverpool Cruise Terminal on Wednesday 17 June 2026 at approximately 8.30am, where she will remain berthed throughout the day before departing at 8.30pm.
At an impressive 1,058 feet in length, Queen Anne is Cunard’s first new ship in 14 years and is the 249th vessel to sail under the famous Cunard flag. Since entering service, the ship has become one of the most recognisable additions to the global cruise fleet, combining Cunard’s renowned elegance with modern luxury.
Thousands of residents and visitors are expected to line the waterfront to catch a glimpse of the stunning ship as she sails along the River Mersey and docks beside Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront.
Some of the best viewing locations include:
• Pier Head in Liverpool
• Princes Parade
• Marine Terrace, Waterloo
• Various points along the Mersey waterfront including Formby Point

For those wanting an even closer view, Mersey Ferries will be operating special sailings throughout the day, including afternoon tea cruises, offering passengers a unique perspective of the ship from the water.
The visit is expected to attract cruise enthusiasts, photographers and spectators from across the region, providing another memorable day on Liverpool’s waterfront and reinforcing the city’s historic connection with Cunard and the maritime industry.
