Could This Be the Future of the Former Gild Hall?

A planning application has been submitted that could see the former Gild Hall building on Church Road transformed into a children’s nursery.
Plans lodged with Sefton Council by Explorers Nurseries Liverpool Limited seek permission to change the use of the building from a social club to a children’s nursery.
The proposal relates to Gild Hall, 74–76 Church Road, Formby, a building that many local residents will know well and which has played a role in the community for many years.
If approved, the development would bring a new childcare facility to Formby, potentially creating additional nursery places for local families. However, as with many planning applications, residents may also have questions regarding parking, traffic and the impact on neighbouring properties.
The application has now entered the consultation stage, meaning local people have the opportunity to view the plans and submit comments before a decision is made.
Whether you see it as a welcome new facility for young families or have concerns that you would like to raise, now is the time to make your views known.
