Part-Time Bookkeeper Vacancy – AKS Air Conditioning, Formby

Location: Formby

Hours: Part-time – approximately 8–16 hours per week (flexible)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

AKS Air Conditioning is a growing HVAC and building services company working with both domestic and commercial clients across the region. As the business continues to expand, we are looking to appoint a reliable and detail-driven Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our finance function and keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration of the business, working closely with the Managing Director and our external accountant.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing purchase and sales ledgers

• Raising invoices and reconciling payments

• Bank reconciliations

• Processing supplier invoices and expenses

• Updating and monitoring cash flow forecasts

• Preparing quarterly VAT returns

• Payroll support (if experienced – not essential)

• Maintaining accurate financial records

• Liaising with the company accountant as required

About You:

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper (SME or trade-based experience preferred)

• Confident using accounting software (Xero preferred, but not essential)

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Able to work independently and manage deadlines

• Trustworthy, professional and reliable

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience within construction, HVAC or trade-based businesses

• AAT qualified or part-qualified
