M&S Formby is Hiring Christmas Customer Assistants!

Marks & Spencer Simply Food in Formby is on the lookout for enthusiastic Christmas Customer Assistants (Food Department) to join their friendly in-store team over the festive period.

This is a part-time temporary position offering £12.60 per hour, with shifts on Sunday (6pm–10pm), Thursday (4pm–8pm) and Saturday (4pm–8pm). Successful applicants will also be asked to work full-time hours during the busy weeks commencing 14th and 21st December.

Job Purpose

As a Christmas Customer Assistant, you’ll deliver outstanding service to shoppers, keeping shelves stocked, the store looking festive and inviting, and ensuring every customer leaves with a smile.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points.

• Keep displays clean, tidy, and fully stocked.

• Engage with shoppers to understand their needs and make helpful recommendations.

• Build product knowledge and promote seasonal offers.

• Support the team in achieving daily sales targets.

What You’ll Need:

• Great communication and people skills.

• A positive, can-do attitude and attention to detail.

• Flexibility to adapt during the busy Christmas weeks.

• Confidence using digital tools and tills (training provided).
