John Youssef from Formby finishes in Top 10 in the Bodybuilding World Championships

After winning his first bodybuilding show only a week earlier, Formby resident and Youssef Strength Gym owner, John Youssef managed to finish top 10 in the World Championships.

After completing a lifelong goal of winning a bodybuilding show, John exceeded his own expectations and placed top 10 at the PCA bodybuilding world championships in Spain last weekend.

John has also qualified for the British Masters finals, which take place in October 2024!

John said: "Competing in a bodybuilding competition is something I’ve always wanted to do since about age 13. It took my wife, Jen to talk me into it at the age of 45."

"I’ve gone from winning my first show, to competing on the world stage, in only 7days, it doesn’t seem real. I now have the confidence and the focus to give 100% to the British finals in October."

John is beginning his training in January and hopes to add several pounds of muscle to his frame to compete against Britains best master’s bodybuilders.
