It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Formby resident May Patten

May Patten passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of Thursday 6th October 2022, after a short illness.

A Formby Resident since 1987, she loved Formby Village and its people, Formby Pool, walks in the pinewoods as well as going to Formby Beach.

We can't believe she is gone and we all loved her so much. She was a wonderful wife to Edward Patten for 48 years and a devoted mother to children, Stephen, Ian and Alison.

May will be deeply missed by all her family. The loving memories of all the good times together will sustain us.

May was a regular at St Jeromes Church and maintained a strong religious Catholic Faith throughout her life.

Her funeral will be at Our Lady of Compassion Church, Formby Village at 11.15am on Tuesday 25th October. Followed by a committal at Thornton Crematorium.

The family have said that all are most welcome to come and join them to help celebrate May's life at the church, in addition the family have requested no flowers but please donate to Cancer Research UK or Alder Hey Children's Charity, if you wish, in her memory.
