It is with great sadness that we announce the death of beloved former Police officer and Formby man Douglas Knight.

His son Chris Knight said: "It is with great sadness that I can announce the passing of my dad, Douglas Knight."

"He was known around Formby in his role as community police officer, organising the Dickensian Day, VE Day celebrations and helping launch Formby Festival."

His funeral is Wednesday 24th May 2023 at 1:45pm.
