Easter Bin Collection Update for Formby Residents

Residents across Formby are being reminded that their green bin collection is tomorrow morning, Monday 30th March.
The bin collections will continue as normal over the Easter weekend, including both Good Friday and Easter Monday. Sefton Council has confirmed there are no changes to scheduled collections.
Households are advised to make sure their bins are presented correctly to avoid any missed collections. All recycling can be placed together in brown bins or hessian sacks, but residents must ensure that bin lids are fully closed and no extra bags are left at the kerbside, as these will not be collected.
Collection crews may operate later than usual, with green bins able to be emptied up until 8pm on collection days, so residents are asked to leave bins out until this time if necessary.
If you have additional waste that will not fit into your bin with the lid closed, it should be taken to your nearest Household Waste Recycling Centre.
Before reporting a missed collection, residents should check that:
The correct bin was put out by 6.30am
The bin was not overfilled and the lid was fully closed
The correct type of waste was placed inside
The bin was not too heavy or blocked
Missed collections should only be reported after midday the following day, and must be reported within three working days, otherwise you may need to wait until your next scheduled collection.
With no changes to the timetable over Easter, residents are encouraged to plan ahead and ensure bins are presented correctly to keep collections running smoothly.
