Free community dementia awareness talk
Formby Dementia Action Group are holding another free talk about Dementia to help people recognise the signs of the disease and also dispel common misconceptions. The talk is taking place in the Community Rooms at Formby Fire Station between 7.00pm and 9.00pm on Wednesday 22nd May.
Sian Jones attended a recent session says “The information session was set in an informal atmosphere which was really useful for asking questions and taking knowledge on board. Sally Nicol, who ran it, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and approachable and involved the whole group.”
Sian added “No matter how your life is affected by dementia, either through a loved one, or simply if you are working with the public and would like to improve your knowledge of the disease and its symptoms, this session will give you all the tools and information that can help you make life a little easier for those with dementia and their families and friends.”
