Formby Junior Sports Club are top of the Premier League in the U18 Division of the West Lancashire G

Despite being an U17 team, with five players eligible to play at U16 level, the girls have played with commitment and a lot of skill and found themselves on top of the U18 league last week.

The team, who are generously sponsored by The Ultimate Dental Laboratory, based on Liverpool Road in Formby, have been in the West Lancs Girls Football League for 5 years now, winning their age group twice in recent years.

Earlier this season they qualified for the Premier League at this age group and are competing against the likes of Blackpool, Preston North End and Wigan Athletic.

Captain Nina Macy has led by example and top scorer Anna Rutherford scored the goal of the season last weekend to beat Dynamo Rangers 1-0.

All of the squad, named below, have contributed to some great team performances and provided entertaining football for their loyal band of spectators to watch.
