Gold Badge awarded to Formby man for his service and dedication to the Royal British Legion
At the Royal British Legion West Lancs County Conference on Saturday Ken Ward, Chairman and Standard Bearer for Formby Branch was presented with a Gold Badge for his service and dedication to the RBL.
Major General David Jolliffe who is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Royal British Legion made the presentation.
The members of Formby Branch are extremely proud of Ken and wish to congratulate him on this fantastic achievement.
The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading Armed Forces charity and one of its largest membership organisations. Members get together through the network of branches and clubs all over the country and overseas to participate in social, fundraising and welfare activities.
Formby Branch meet at 7:30PM on the Second Monday of each month in a variety of community centres.
Membership is open to everyone. If you have an interest in the objectives of the Legion and want to help and support for those who have served and their families, come and join us.
