Formby MiGYM raises funds for Brain Tumour charity

On Sunday 29th April, MiGYM held a charity fundraising event to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity. They chose this charity because not only is it raising money for an amazing cause, it is a charity that is close to a few of their member’s hearts.

The goal was set to raise £1,000. The event held consisted of a mass ‘groupathlon’ with 13 hour long sessions running back-to-back from 7am right through to 8pm.

The owner of MiGYM, Mike Girvan, and a few members signed up to do all 13 sessions. The gym was open to members as well as the public - encouraging friends and family to get involved in as many sessions as they wanted to.

The classes ranged from Calisthenics, Pilates, Boxing to Circuit Training with a cake sale to keep energy high - staff and members got stuck in with lots of healthy homemade goodies. After an absolutely incredible day MiGYM managed to raise a huge £2,800 for the Brain Tumour Charity.
