Formby dog, Gucci stars in the Wizard of Oz as Toto

Gucci is not only a famous designer brand, it is also the name of the cutest actor dog in Formby.

Gucci had the role of Dorothy's dog Toto, in the Super Soul Musical, The Wiz, which was based on The Wizard of Oz. The wiz was performed in the Liverpool Epstein theatre last Saturday night, 29th July.

It was Gucci's first time on stage but he played a blinder of a performance! He worked hard and came through with flying colours along with the rest of the cast by The Devine Theatre Company.

The director of the company, Lewis Devine said: "Gucci shone for his first time on stage, we were very impressed. If we need a dog again, we will certainly use Gucci."

The Devine theatre company is based in Knowsley, Lilli Singleton played the part of Dorothy and the whole show which was a cast of fifty, was a great success.

Gucci's owner Jacqui said: "Gucci had a fab time getting spoilt from all the children but I think he's planning on retirment as hes getting on a bit now being the good old age of 14! He did love all the attention though."
