Formby mum ran 100k in the 'Race to the Stones' for Woodlands Primary School
A Huge well done to Abby Sanderson who completed the 'Race to the Stones' 100K Ultra marathon which she ran on 16th July in just over 13 hours.
Abby Sanderson is a Mum at Woodlands Primary School in Formby. She wants to help FOWSA (Friends of Woodlands School Association) raise £7,000.00 to enable them to facilitate an all weather, multi-purpose area. This facility will cost £12,000 in total to build and once done can and will be used all year round to promote exercise and healthy lifestyles for our children and wider community.
On 15th and 16th July, Abby ran 100k continuously to help raise the money. The race took place along The Ridgeway which is recognised as the oldest path in the UK from Lewknor to the Avebury Stone Circle.
Abby has now raised over £1,400 of the £7,000 goal. A big thank you to everyone who has already sponsored her, there is still time if you've not had chance yet. This is an amazing achievement but she still needs help to raise more.
If you can help Abby achieve her target by donating whatever you can, that would be fantastic!
