Happy 100th Birthday to Formby resident Margo Harwood

Let us introduce you to this lovely lady, Margo Harwood. Margo was 100 years old on Monday 3rd of July.

Margo celebrated with 75 friends and relatives at Hillary Court in Formby by having a sparkling vintage afternoon tea. Surprise guest David Fairclough, former hero of Liverpool Football Club, was invited to present Margo with a beautiful Liverpool pendant which was bought for her by her Hillary Court friends. Margo was a life long football fan and season ticket holder at Liverpool until her last game in 2005 when she was 88 years young. She is still a keen Liverpool fan, following all their games on Sky with great enthusiasm.

She was joined on her special day by her youngest brother Dennis, a mere 85 years old, who had travelled up from Suffolk with his bride of seven months, Margaret. Margo's daughter Margaret and husband Brian, daughter Irene and husband Mike, son Jack and wife Pat, three grandchildren Tracy, Chris and Jamie and two great grandchildren, Jean and Seth, shared in the celebrations.

Margo received over 100 cards including one from the Queen and one from the Minister for Pensions!

Happy 100th Birthday Margo from everyone in Formby! We hope you enjoyed your very special day.
