Treasures and Castles with the National Trust
On Thursday 1st June, National Trust enjoyed Treasures and Castles. Old fashioned seaside fun for the half term youngsters.
Led by Jane Owen from our National Trust Visitor Experience team, we walked through the woods, over the dunes to explore the shore. Here we went on a beach hunt along the sandy Sefton coast and collected our treasures that included shells, and shark eggs. We then had a beach hunt along the sandy Sefton coast.
Jane opened her bags of buckets and spades so that the old fashioned fun could begin. There were some serious sandcastles built, with moats and walls. ‘A great couple of hours for everyone’ was the verdict as the group posed for their photograph! This event is always one of our most popular. There is a repeat on 31st July, See details on our website.
