Toy and Gift service at Formby United Reformed Church this weekend
Toy and Gift Service to be held on Sunday, 11 December 2016, at Formby URC. The toys and gifts will be donated to the Liverpool City Mission and will be received by Mr Alan Kellard who will be talking about the work of the Mission.
Formby United Reformed Church will be holding their annual parade and gift service to help those less fortunate in Liverpool.
The service will take place at 11am on Sunday, December 11th at the Church on Church Road, Formby.
Alan Kellard from the Liverpool City Mission will be coming to receive the gifts and speak about the work of the Mission.
Since 1829 the Liverpool City Mission has been caring for the poor and needy within the city.
The Mission has 3 Rescue Centres in the area and the work involves the provision of hot meals, tinned foods, clothes, toys and furniture distribution. The donations are sorted and then given out to those in need.
Everyone is welcome and tea and coffee will be served after the service.
As well as the annual gift service, Formby United Reformed Church will be holding the traditional Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at 6.30pm on Sunday, December 18. Afterwards refreshments will be served in the Fisher Hall.
On Christmas Eve the Christingle Service will commence at 6pm and The Family Service on Christmas Day will start at 11.00am.
