Alan Carr visits Formby Beach

Comedian shares funny snap of his dogs on Formby beach after his Yap, Yap, Yap! show at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall

It may be Alan Carr's Yap, Yap, Yap! tour that had his Liverpool fans in stitches, but it was his dog that got him some more laughs on Twitter.

The comedian shared a photo of himself while out walking his two red setters, Joyce and Bev, on the sand in Formby. He captioned the sunny snap: “Another lovely day on Formby Beach!”

But it was a second photograph featuring one of the dogs jumping up in front of him that showed off Alan’s sense of humour.

The popular comedy chat show host wrote: “I was originally going to post this photo but it looks like my dogs performing a sex act on a public beach.”

British Comedy Award winner Alan visited the beach twice in two days during his trip to Merseyside.

The funnyman had also tweeted a photograph of dark clouds above Formby and wrote: “Walking along the beach near Formby and it suddenly got Mad Max on my a**.”

He was on Merseyside to perform his new stand up show Yap, Yap, Yap! at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Friday.
