REGIONAL: A blaze broke out in Ainsdale on New Years Eve.....

Two women were taken to hospital after a Merseyside home was seriously damaged by a fire on New Year’s Eve.
Firefighters were called to a property in Ainsdale at around 9.50pm last night after reports of a blaze on Rose Crescent.
A spokeswoman for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said two females, who were aged 51 and 31, were taken to Southport and Formby General Hospital for a check up as a precaution following the incident.
She added serious damage had been caused to the home as a result of the blaze, which fire chiefs believe started in the kitchen of the property.
The ground floor was severely damaged by smoke while the first floor had light smoke damage.
Three fire crews were sent to deal with the incident.
