There is a real sense of pride in Formby this week as Redgate Primary School celebrates a fantastic achievement.
The school’s specialist complex needs unit, The Pines, has officially been shortlisted as a finalist for School of the Year at this year’s Pride of Sefton Awards ✨

The Pines is a highly valued part of Redgate Primary, providing dedicated support for children with complex needs in a nurturing, inclusive and carefully adapted environment. The unit is designed to ensure every child can thrive, with tailored learning, specialist staff, and a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, communication and independence.
Over the years, The Pines has built a reputation not just for its educational support, but for the warmth, care and commitment shown to every child and their family. It plays a vital role in the school and the wider community, helping children reach milestones that are often hard won but deeply celebrated.
Being shortlisted for such a prestigious award is recognition of the incredible work carried out every single day by the team, and the positive impact they have on young lives.
The awards evening will take place on Friday 24th April at The Grand in Southport, where schools and individuals from across Sefton will come together to celebrate outstanding achievements.
No matter the final result, this is already a huge moment for Redgate Primary and for Formby as a whole.
We will certainly be keeping everything crossed for The Pines 🤞
