Sefton Active Travel Cycle Chat today at Mecycle Cafe
If you are interested in cycling, don't forget our next Cycle Chat is happening today - Tuesday 6th March at MeCycle Cafe, Ainsdale (6pm to 8pm). This is your chance to have your say on cycling in Sefton.
What is Active Cycling all About?
Why Cycle?
More and more people are taking to two wheels (Or more) as a way to get from A to B, stay fit, healthy and active, socialise and meet new people or save money on travel.
Cycling has always been the perfect method of transport for short distances; quicker than walking, hassle free parking and non weight bearing cardio vascular exercise, so good for your heart, lungs and joints too.
If you are looking to get involved with cycling in Sefton, either as a participant or in a volunteer role then you have come to the right place; whether you have never ridden before but are keen to learn, already an active cyclist but want to ride with a group or you’re looking to grow your confidence and knowledge around bike maintenance, then we have something for you.
The cycling programme we deliver varies throughout the year, we have our old favourites that remain constant, such as the Pedal Away Rides on a Tuesday morning from Litherland Sports Park and Fridays froms MeCycle Cafe, our Wheels for All sessions offering a wide range of adapted cycles to enable almost everyone to enjoy cycling whatever their age, ability or needs, mobile Dr Bike clinics and cycle training for everyone from aged 4 upwards.
