Local Football is cancelled this weekend due to frozen ground conditions

Following discussions with the managing agents from the district leagues, matches on all Sefton Council playing fields have been postponed this weekend (Saturday, March 3, and Sunday, Sunday 4, 2018).

The decision has been taken due to the current frozen ground conditions caused by the recent poor weather and the present forecast.

Unfortunately this means that there will be no Formby Junior Sports Club inter club football on Saturday March 3rd. All home matches for FJSC representative teams playing in the Craven Minor League have also been cancelled on Saturday March 3rd and Sunday March 4th.

No coachng sessions are allowed on Deansgate Lane and Smithy Green during the weekend.

The managing agents will notify relevant clubs and leagues affected.
