Formby man found guilty of two offences of wounding and assault
Paul Range has been found guilty of two offences of wounding during a row over noise with neighbours and was today convicted of a stabbing attack on two men in Formby .
He has been found guilty of two offences of wounding and also assaulting another man by punching him unconscious and possessing a knife.
Sentence on 56-year-old Range, who has never been in trouble before, has been adjourned until next month and the judge has asked for him to be interviewed by a mental health worker.
Range, of Wicks Crescent, Formby, was further remanded in custody to await sentence on April 18.
The jury, who returned their final verdicts after five and a half hours deliberations, cleared him of two more serious alternative charges of wounding with intent.
The court was told that Paul Range, 56 years old of Wicks Crescent in Formby, was enraged by noisy neighbours when he knocked someone out with one punch before arming himself with a kitchen knife and stabbing two other people on Friday 25th September last year.
