Queen legend backs nature board game created in Formby
QUEEN'S lead guitarist, Brian May has agreed to support a new board game created by a Formby artist, aimed at educating youngsters on nature and where food comes from.
Holly Bushnell, resident illustrator at Write Blend, Waterloo created ‘How Does Your Garden Grow' in partnership with Crafty Project, who aim to teach children about the environment, nature, sustainable living and the importance of protecting animals. Crafty Project are a non profit organisation, and hope to send the game worldwide, free of cost to educate children about the food chain and sustainable living. Holly said: “In many parts of the world, some children don't even know where their food comes from or how it is produced, other than seeing it in supermarket packaging. ”To help us achieve our goal, Crafty Project have set up a Crowdfunding campaign and any money raised will go towards creating copies of the game, and donations are also made to listed charities, such as Wallasey Hedgehog Rescue. “We have also received the backing of Brian May, Queen legend and head of Save Me Trust. ”As part of the Crowdfunder campaign and what pledge is made, donors can receive thank you items such as mugs, t-shirts and a signed thank you letter from Brian May.“ To support the campaign visit www.indiegogo.com/projects/crafty-project-4-kidz-campaign
