Break-In at Morrisons

At 12:30am this morning, there was a break-in at the Morrisons store in Formby Village. The thieves broke in through the back of the store and gained entry to the till area at the front. They must have got a shock when the Morrisons Security system set off a 'Flash Fog' deterrent and the shop filled with smoke. The thieves quickly left through the back entrance.

It did look as though there was a fire inside the shop because the shop floor instantly filled with smoke to flush the thieves out.

The thieves did not manage to get away with anything because of the fog deterrent and nobody was hurt.

Morrisons is open as usual this morning.
