Drugs Raid in Formby, Father and Son Arrested

The two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

A father and son have been arrested after a warrant was carried out at a house in Formbythis morning. At around 7.15am, officers from the Sefton Neighbourhood Support Team executed a Misuse of Drugs Act Warrant at a property on Ditchfield. During the course of the search officers recovered what's believed to be a quantity of Class A drugs and cannabis, along with a quantity of cash. The two men, aged 54 and 25 years, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs. They have been taken to a police station where they will be questioned by officers.

Neighbourhood Sergeant for Formby, Ian Allum, said: "This is an excellent result which has seen a quantity of cash and suspected drugs being recovered. "Drugs and the people who supply them have no place in our community. Their trade destroys peoples' lives and causes a range of further crimes and we are determined to do everything we can to crack down on those involved and bring them to justice. "I hope today's activity provides reassurance to people across Formby that we won't tolerate drugs in our area and we will take positive action in response to any information that we receive.
