60 mph Winds last night but minimal damage in Formby....

Hurricane Gonzalo might have sent 60mph winds but Formby held up well with only minimal damge. A tree fell through the fencing at Albert Road and blocked the public footpath. The Woodwards hedgeing planters would not stay upright as the wind stalked through the village but the flag at Lifeboat Road flew strong even though the flagpole did look as if it would snap! More rain and wind again tonight so wrap up well, fasten down everything and if possible stay inside in front of the fire....
