Formby’s boxer Alex Dickinson extends his unbeaten record to 7-0 last night in Liverpool Alex Dickinson extends his unbeaten record to 7-0 after forcing his opponent to retire on his stool at the end of round two at the Grand Central Hall in Liverpool last night 27th October. Heavyweight Alex Dickinson is relishing his win in his home city of Liverpool ahead of a huge opportunity on the undercard of Josh Warrington vs. Carl Frampton in December. Alex has scored stoppage victories in Belfast and Manchester since his last bout in his own back yard. With the big stage of the Manchester Arena beckoning on December 22, these are exciting times for Dickinson. Alex said: “Massive thank you to everyone that got tickets for last night and for the messages of support. Thank you to Paul and @blackflashpromotions for putting on the show! Also to my sponsors! I am very lucky to have an amazing group of people that want to help me out. It wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for them guys.” Before the fight, Alex said: “I love fighting in Liverpool. It’s great to have everyone there because sometimes with these shows away from the city, my friends and family can’t make it.” “I’ve had a short break but I’ve still been training. I’m feeling good and my strength training has changed. I can see it in my shape that I’m filling out a lot more and I’m feeling much stronger.” “It’s also amazing to be on the Warrington vs. Frampton card. I’m trying not to think about it too much so I don’t look past anyone. I see every fight as a 50-50 so I’ve got to do the business tonight first and foremost.” “It’s great to be on the big shows and I’m slowly getting my name out there. I hope to put on a similar performance to the one I put on on the Tyson Fury undercard because that was a great fight to be in.” “The next 6-12 months, I want to be kept busy like I have been. MTK Global is doing a great job with me and hopefully I’ll have another few fights then push for a title.” Well done Alex!
