Formby Rotary seeks new members, look out for their stand at the Formby Festival this weekend

The Rotary Club of Formby is looking to welcome new members to the Club. To help in this recruitment drive they are taking a stand at the Formby Festival this weekend.

Club members will be on hand to talk to you about the general aims of Rotary and about the projects Formby Rotary are involved in at present. There will also be lots of information on our past projects. The famous Carol Wagon will be on show as will the Shelterbox. This is a box containing survival equipment that is sent out all over the world in the event of a disaster, e.g.tsunami, earthquake or flooding. It has equipment to help families survive the early days and weeks until more permanent help can be provided. The Shelterbox is a Rotary International charity and thousand of boxes have been sent worldwide over the years.

There will be a number of games for the children to have a go at while you learn something about the Rotary Club. If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute to our local/international community or are coming up for retirement in the next few years and are looking for a worthwhile way to spend some of that free time, come along to our Festival stand and see what Rotary has to offer you and what you may have to offer Rotary!

We look forward to meeting you at the Formby Festival this weekend.
