Congratulations to FHS Class of 2017 on fantastic GCSE results!

Students collecting their GCSE results this year had every justification to feel more anxious than their peers in previous years amidst a climate of incredible change in both examinations and grading. Indeed, this cohort were the first to receive numerical grades (9-1) introduced in English and Mathematics and they endured harder, more rigorous examinations in these subjects. Envelopes opened, however, and they soon felt very proud of their achievements, as did their teachers

The trouble with rubble

The rubble that appears on the beach at National Trust is from the old car park that was located in this area before the National Trust started to care for this land. As the dunes move inland here at a rate of 3.5m to 4m per year the old car park became buried and over time the left over rubble and debris has become exposed on the beach. One picture shows Thomas looking at an old Salt cellar that has emerged from one of the caravans from the old caravan park which was also bu
